Video (Mainly Scenery) from Camping.

This video was shot during our camping trip this last weekend to the North Fork Campground in Emigrant Gap CA. The small river you see is the North Frok of the American River. It is encouraging to know that the soap suds used to scrub out my crack and other sensitive areas is now on its way out to sea having passed so close to many of your houses in the greater Sacred tomato area. Enjoy the film. It is an Indie film from an up-and-coming young director / writer/ cameraman/ narrator/ voiceover/ set and costume designer/ actor and nude stunt double named Timothy Trott. (Sorry, after seeing a few of the indie films played at Sundance, I am just as good at making videos! HAhahahahaha AND I am also an Actor!) HAHA they way you know it is really “art” and not just some unemployed idiot with a camera is because at the end of it the word “fin” appears letting you know that the previous garbage was in fact material of immense intellectual value and worthy of praise as it is an expression of something or another. Anyway, enjoy my art and I will post more movies later!

On Our Way Home....

Greetings from the road construction zone on eastbound I-80. We had a killer time up at the North Fork campground and are sad to have to leave so soon. We entertained the notion of staying another night but decided to leave well enough alone. Plus I don’t think that we had the food for another night. The kids had a tremendous time and cannot wait to go again. In fact, maybe we will go shooting tomorrow and just stay out there in my spot! I’d probably get a coyote once I stay out there. Anyway…….i guess ill quit here. Keep your eyes peeled for the video……hopefully it’ll be here soon!

Andiamo in Campeggio.....

OK, Tomorrow we leave for the greater Sacred Tomato area to visit before heading to the hills (Emigrant Gap)for a camping excursion with our Sacred Tomato friends. All of us (doggies included) shall be going this time and it should be a blast. It has been a really long time since the last time that I’ve been camping so I am really looking forward to it. Last time, I believe was when Stormy and I camped at the Peninsula campground at Rollins Reservoir……more than 5 years ago. It’ll be the beginning of a very busy month for us.

A few weeks after the camping trip we will be setting out for Austin TX to visit my buddy Kris. Stormy and the kids will be staying with her father (seen for the first time in 16 years….it’ll be the first time that the kids and I have met him ever!) and I with my buddy Kris. I was gonna go solo but after Stormy talked to her father the other day, we crunched the numbers and found that it costs the same to rent a car and drive (yes…gas included.) In this way all of us can go. The kids are excited that we will be going through so many states. The way down will be through AZ,NM then TX returning then through OK, KS, CO, WY and UT. So Stormy and kids and doggies will be hanging out with the Tatmans whilst Kris and I go kayaking and whatnot. I forget off-hand how long we will be gone but in total it will be over a week, including the drive time. “It gonna be tight y’all!”

With my life being so full (controlling people in Placer County using only the words I type here) I decided yesterday evening to dust off my wii (teehee) and try Zelda : twilight princess again. I barely got very far before I had t return to work following my surgery so I decided to start over. I am entirely sucked into that game now! I was a good boy, however, and stopped playing at a certain time even though I wanted to continue. I had to finish the outline for an article for my political (and very popular) site that had been delayed by my getting laid (off). Yes, it is the same article about which I had spoken on this site a few entries ago. It is about the hypocritical whining of the conservative / evangelical movement about Supreme Court Justice nominee Sonia Sotomayor being too “biased” to be on the court. One only has to remember two nominees ago to Bush appointee Samuel Alito who, having spent his career arguing for the evangelicals (trying to overturn roe v. wade, chipping away at the civil rights laws etc) showed not only a mere “bias” but a clear dedication to a close-minded evangelical ideology and his willingness to impose it on the laws of the United States. It is just a reminder that when the Democrats raised objections to his nomination, the conservatives threw the hissiest of fits. I guess the “separation of church and state” means to the evdemonicals that the church building itself CANNOT be made into it’s own state? It would appear so. (This may actually be an Alito interpretation of this principle!) Anyway, that is more or less what this article is about. The previous two articles took on a more or less conservative viewpoint so I saw fit to include a more liberal one in order to fit the sites theme of being moderate or center based. I have already told most (with a few exceptions….I still haven’t told a few people who I would like to..) of those that I want to know about the site where they can find it. I am reluctant to publish it here as some of the people who frequent this site are…ahem….not as equipped to deal with opposing viewpoints in an intellectual manner and, having nothing better to be doing, will only serve to annoy me. It is my own separation of church and state. The CHURCH of Tim shall not intermingle with his STATEly writings! It is inevitable however I want to keep the evangelical robots from polluting my site with their regurgitated Rush talking points (not even fully understood by them!) I enjoy Rush Limbaugh but the Focus on the Family crowd, as long as they listen to him, refuse to think about these things for themselves…opting instead to just spew out the same talking points heard on yesterdays show. Every last one of them says: “There are many things that I don’t agree with Rush on” but they are never points of ideology….instead usually about anecdotes or his more “colorful” stories etc. ANYWAY. It is an exciting project for me and I am happy to watch it move! Now, if only I could force myself to sit down and actually fire off some articles!

PS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you would like to contribute an article, please send me an email! between 1000 and 2000 words about anything in the news or an interpretation of a political principle. Contact me and I will tell you how to go about submitting it for review and editing etc.

Movie...

I just saw Angels and Demons…the pre-quel to The Davinci Code and loved it. I will admit that I have not read the books but I found the movies fascinating. Go see them. (OK Mr Howard, Hanks and Brown….you now owe me for the promotion!)
